WKM was born November 4, 1931 in Shaker Heights to Robert and Helen Morrow. Shaker Heights is a well-to-do suburb of Cleveland. His father died when he was six, and his mother went on to start a career as a real estate agent and never re-married. He attended [www.shaker.org Shaker Heights High School]. Late in life, William visited the area and felt that it was in some decline. His best friend in high school was Wesley Ray, who went on to become a dentist in San Francisco. William graduated from the Catholic University of America in 1952 with a degree in architectural engineering. He then was commissioned as an officer of the U.S. Navy in the SeeBees; he never saw action. He worked up at the Naval Station Argentia in Newfoudland, where he met his wife, nee Laura Marie Kenny. They were introduced at an officer's party by her father, who as a contractor at the station.
After their marriage, they returned to Cleveland and then on to Buffalo, where they settled. After starting a partnership with his older brother, Robert, which became R P Morrow Associates in Buffalo (see here and here).
), he left the partnership to work as a salesman of refractory building material . He later went on to Cannon Design Inc. of Grand Island. In 1970, he earned his license in New York State as a Professional Engineer in Architectural Engineering.
After a stint with a firm in Jamestown, NY, he started his own firm, eventually purchasing the building at 802 Kenmore Ave. in Kenmore. He had six children, three boys, three girls, all raised Roman Catholic. The three boys went to St. Joseph Collegiate Institute, right across the street from his office, and the three girls went to Mount St. Mary Academy.

- Too much emotional sentimentality
- Cars that were so modern that he could do little to maintain them himself
- Deadbeats
He attened Mass faithfully, but stopped taking the Eucharist after Paul IV issued Humanae Vitae. His sixth and last child was born in 1966. His firm had all the necessary modern equipment, but he did not have the chance to computerize it with modern CAD systems the way his brother's firm eventually did.
WKM died in August of 1984 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital while recovering from a heart attack. On the day he was scheduled to return home from the hospital, he suffered a second fatal heart attack. He had chosen to shave off his beard the night before he died.
